Your year on GitHub, in cards.

What you starred, what you built and how you code say more about you than you think. See it one card at a time.

Type /ghwrapped. That's it.

three-sides-of-you/

More than your contribution graph.

What you starred

Your taste, and how it changed. What you were into in January, what took over by summer, and how early you got to the projects everyone stars now.

What you built

The projects you put real work into, and the people you built them with. A PR merged into someone else's project counts the most.

How you code

When you code, how long your streaks run, and which AI co-signed your commits. Lines added and removed, side by side like a diff.

the-cards/

Your year left a fingerprint.

Every star, PR and commit you made this year says something about you. GHWrapped turns it into a stack of cards, each one showing you something about yourself you never noticed.

your-chapters/

You weren’t the same developer in January.

Your year had eras. See where your year turned, and who you turned into.

A chapters card: three eras of one developer’s year, named after the projects they shipped, over a strip of stars and contributions by month

card_03_your-chapters.png

your-people/

Somewhere out there is your taste twin.

Meet the people who built alongside you, the ones whose taste matches yours, and the repos they’re into right now.

A people card: co-builders grouped by project, two taste twins, and one ally’s panel with the projects you both starred and a repo to try next

card_06_your-people.png

your-rhythm/

You have a rhythm. You’ve just never seen it.

Streaks or bursts. 8 AM or 2 AM. The day you always show up and the day you disappear. Your commit graph, finally read back to you.

A commit graph card: a burst week lit on the contribution calendar, three stat tiles, and bars for the busiest weekday and hour

card_09_your-rhythm.png

your-ai-pair/

When did AI join your team?

See the day Claude, Codex or Cursor first co-signed one of your commits, and how much of your year they touched after that.

An AI pair card: public commits by month, the part Claude co-signed in green, and a marker on the first co-signed day

card_08_your-ai-pair.png

something-bigger/

Your year was bigger than your graph.

The projects you shipped, starred and merged into reach more people than you think. One number shows how many.

A part of something bigger card: one huge green number, 2.2 million stars, and what it counts

GHW26Who you were

the-share-card/

What’s your type?

Two words for who you were this year, on a collector’s card with your year in numbers. One press and it’s ready to post on X.

how-it-works/

From install to card in three steps.

  1. 01_add

    Add the skill

One line in your terminal adds GHWrapped to Claude Code.

  2. 02_run

    Run /ghwrapped

Your page opens right away and fills in while your year loads. Keep the tab open.

  3. 03_post

    Post a card

Flip through your cards, or press Play. Save the one that's most you.

local-only/

Your year stays on your machine.

No server, no sign-up, no tracking. GHWrapped reads GitHub as you, through your own gh login, and writes your cards to a folder on your computer.

  • Private work is counted, never named. How much and when, nothing more.
  • Runs in Claude Code. No new app, no account.
  • Free. No plan, no trial, no catch.

Questions

Is this made by GitHub?

No. GHWrapped is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by GitHub. It reads your year through the official GitHub CLI, signed in as you.

When can I use it?

On December 1, 2026, for Wrapped week. Leave your email and we'll send one note the day it's out.

What happens to my email?

It's used for one thing: telling you GHWrapped is out. It's kept in our own contact list, never sold or shared.

What do I need?

Claude Code and the GitHub CLI (gh). If gh is missing, the skill installs it and asks you to sign in once in your browser. After that, nothing asks you anything.

Does my data leave my machine?

No. There is no server and no account. Everything is fetched with your own gh login and saved in a folder next to you. You decide which card to post.

What about private repos?

Private work counts in your totals and your commit graph. It is never named or described on a card.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The skill is free and runs inside your own Claude Code session.

Can I run it before the year ends?

Yes. It covers your year so far, and every card says so.
